2008 Donations Charity Auction We are looking for OOAK dolls to be in the Blind Auction and Live Charity Auction. All dolls donated will be in the Blind Auction. From those dolls we will choose some for the live auction to be held on Friday night, so everyone has a chance for their creation to be in the Live Auction. Both auctions benefit the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation. Centerpiece Dolls You can either create a centerpiece doll with the theme of one of the events, or donate any type doll you created that you like. This way if you don't like the theme of an event, you can donate a doll you created not related to the theme. For those who would like to do a theme doll, the themes this year are: 1. Janice Joplin/Woodstock 2. Monty Python's Holy Grail 3. Caesar & Cleopatra 4. Or any doll you'd like to create. Make sure your doll has your name attached to it in some way, and preferably on a Kaiser stand...those saddle stands are the worse for dolls falling over into the butter! LOL! The deadline for the centerpiece dolls is June 1, 2008...but you can also bring it with you. If you plan on donating a centerpiece doll, please email Jim Faraone (jimfaraone@erols.com) so he'll know. Thank you! Raffle Raffle Prizes are always needed for the convention and we hope you are willing to donate one or more prizes. Raffle items may be original fashion doll creations, any fashion doll related items, handcrafted fashion doll accessories, books on dolls or whatever you feel would interest other collectors and designers. If you would like to donate raffle items, please send all raffle items to: Bruce Nygren Freebie Tables Those of you who have attended IFDC in the past were surprised by the "Freebie Tables" we had at the Opening Reception. We are pleased to announce that the "Freebie Tables" will have an encore in 2008. This is a great way to clean out your homes of any doll related items you may no longer want. (One person's trash is another person's treasure.) Items can be dolls, fabric, trims, books, magazines, accessories, beads, sequins, thread, miniatures, craft items...anything doll or craft related and they do not have to be brand new items...this is a clean up time for all! (Though you will probably go home with more than you donated!) You can either bring the items with you and drop them off at Registration or you can mail them to: Bruce Nygren Please let Jim Faraone know before April 1, 2008 if you will be donating so that you may receive credit for your donations in the souvenir book.
