Lecturer Goes Above and Beyond to Create Social Space for P&D Students
Dedicated Construction Lecturer, Roy Thrower, has gone the extra mile to enhance the student experience within his department by leading a project to create a new social space on campus for painting and decorating students. Roy tasked his students with stripping, preparing, and redecorating the dedicated space, giving them the chance to apply the skills they’ve been learning in class to a real-world setting.
In an act of inspiring generosity, Roy has also personally invested in the project, purchasing a pool table and sourcing sofas to complete the area, transforming it into a comfortable and inviting space for students to relax in between lessons. His commitment to the students’ well-being, both academically and socially, serves as a touching example of how teachers can positively impact their learners beyond the classroom.
This heartwarming initiative highlights the dedication of staff at 91×ÔÅÄ, with Roy’s efforts being a shining example of going above and beyond to create an enriching environment for students.
Thank you, Roy, for your incredible dedication.
